Catastrophic and torrential monsoon rains are continuing wreak havoc across Sindh, causing death of about 30 people.

Nishat Welfare Organization® (NWO) is the first organization providing relief and rescue services to 15 villages of UC Luari Sharif, Distt. Badin. NWO has established 2 relief camps in the affected areas , evacuated thousands of people to different relief camps.

Immediate Relief Goods Distribution at KN Shah Dadu

12th January 2011

Arranged in coordination of Internationl Organization for Migration (IOM). About 300 families were benefitted of U/C Burera and U/C Gozo Taluka Khairpur Nathan Shah, District Dadu accordingly. The distribution ceremony was took place on 12th of January, 2011 at village Khushalani Gadehi.

Gandakha-Balochistan, still waiting for Aid from Government Aid Agencies

After Several Months of floods, Gandakha people are still waiting to get some aid from Government and Relief agencies. The whole Gandakha is surrounded by floods water about 8 - 10 feet deep. No system of drainage for stagnant water has been reestablished by the Government. NWO team recently visited the area and provided immediately the Ration to the people of Gandakha and planning for their future rehabilitation.

The NWO's operation in the flood-affected areas encompasses all the necessary work—from rescuing the marooned to the provision of shelter, food and health services. So far, our workers have waded through the water to reach out to more than 10,000 people from the flooded areas of Qazi Ahmed (District Benazirabad), Kandiaro (District Nosheroferoze), Dokri (District Larkana) and Seeta (District Dadu) and evacuated them to safety through boats, tractors, or any other means possible.
